This year I designed the Sustainability Report for The Co-operators. I never really appreciated how much work actually went into each report from start-to-finish. But, after a lot of work and a lot of back and forth, it’s finally done!

a gothic experiment

Gothic

To continue on with Photoshop, I spend quite a bit of time experimenting and trying to achieve different “looks.”  As part of this process I tend to mash together photos and pieces of artwork that I have lying around for practice. Above is one of these experiments that kind of works. Once I’ve figured out how to get the look or effect I want, I’ll proceed with the necessary photo shoots and illustration in order to 100% customize the image.

One question that I get asked an awful lot is exactly how much Photoshop work goes into a finished piece. And it’s a tough question to answer because it’s completely dependent on what I want the finished image to look like and what I’m starting with. My Creative Director loves us to try and shoot things as close to what we want as possible. But let’s face it, that’s not always an option.

That’s where Photoshop comes in.
