Man, these two panels gave me fits. Draw and draw and draw and draw and draw. And it still wasn’t right. Something about the camera angle(s) and the way Lucas is crouching in panel one just wasn’t working. So several attempts later and hopefully it’s something that is seemless with the rest of the art. Sometimes it’s just like that – what should be a simple couple of drawings turns out taking hours. I guess that balances out the ones that are easy and carefree.
Overall though, I’m really happy with how it looks. Just what is Lucas looking for though?

This week I’m speeding ahead a little bit and I’ll be posting the next installment of The Jumper on Thursday. Think of it as a summer special! Really I’m just finding that this whole scene has been going on for awhile and I need to get moving on the whole thing. So check back in Thursday.

I don’t often plug (or in this case re-plug) posts, but if you haven’t read through last Thursday’s post about monetizing your investment in a web comic I would urge you to check it out. I think the overall idea can apply to a lot of things in life, so read it and feel free to comment away. I’ve got a lot of opinions on the subject so maybe I’ll do a “Part 2″ sometime in the future if people find it worthwhile.
