So this is #12, that I finished up on the 12th day of December, which is the 12th month of the year. Coincidence? Anyway, the story keeps right on chugging along. I’ve never had steak and eggs at the same meal before, but I’m thinking that someone like Lucas would definitely eat them. Here’s today’s new panel:

Still incredibly busy around here. I managed to get a lot of “other” work done last week and not quite so much On the Verge stuff done which I guess is disappointing. I’m going to take the approach that I was just opening up my schedule so that I could actually focus on just this.
I did manage to squeeze in some minor updates to the site in the past week. If you’re poking around you’ll notice two new portraits in the About > Characters section. The artwork isn’t new (it’s been sitting around for a couple of months) but I finally got around to scanning and cleaning up the artwork. I’ve also added in the Making Comics tutorials to my Behind the Scenes section.

Oh the tutorials
Speaking of which, one of the main things that’s been occupying my attention and time for the past couple of weeks has been putting together tutorials for Making Comics. I’ve mentioned these a couple of times in the past, but I have contributed another three which should be going up soon.
If you’ve followed along for the past year, you’ll be familiar with my thoughts about ComicPress and I’ve posted quite a bit about how I’ve edited and used it for this site. The problem is, my posts were very specific to this site. So I really wanted to take a step back and write a step-by-step guide of “how to use ComicPress.”
Anyway, right now the tutorials that are being posted are what I’d term “beginner level” but there’s no reason you can’t take a read and refresh those skills. The plan is to establish a base skill level before we launch into some more advanced coding and editing. Hopefully it’s worth the wait.

Holiday schedule
It’s that time of the year again and I’m going to take a break from posting over the Christmas/New Year’s holiday. So, there won’t be any posts for two weeks, but we’ll be back up and running on January 10th with a new panel and the continuation of the Jumper.

Orders anyone?
One final plug… I still have copies of THE BEGINNING left if you’re interested in getting your hands on a copy. THE BEGINNING collects most of the past year’s worth of work and has re-coloured artwork, fully designed backstory elements and a new short story. Order your copy now in my online store.
