Updated Facebook page

Last week I posted this on my Facebook page but I thought it would probably be a good idea to post it here as well to just bring all you guys up to speed.

Ok, so this change has been a long time coming. Around the start of last year I got an idea for a new comic project and started developing it in what spare time I could find. But I realized that I, just like about every other person who works in comics, seemed to now have a couple of real projects on the go other than just ON THE VERGE. Skip forward to the summer and I started working on the UNLAWFUL GOOD anthology and then by the fall I was working on THE SISTERS, followed by ANDREW JACKSON IN SPACE.

The real issue for me is that I’ve been trying to keep everything separate and that’s meant that a lot of the work that I’ve been doing over the course of the past year hasn’t been posted here on the ON THE VERGE site – and that’s not even counting the graphic design work that I do as well.

When I started to think about it, I noticed that my Facebook page is the only social media or website that I’ve set up solely devoted to ON THE VERGE. That was sort of what I saw other webcomic creators doing, so I followed their lead. My Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr accounts I set up as me because I always saw those as slightly different ways to interact with me while Facebook would be solely devoted to ON THE VERGE. But as you can see, this approach isn’t really working any more.

So after much thought and discussion, I’ve decided to do away with a Facebook page solely devoted to my webcomic and instead am going to be slowly updating and converting it over to a page that can include all of the work that I do. You may have noticed that I’ve updated the name (and the custom URL as well) and the profile picture already, as well as started posting some ANDREW JACKSON IN SPACE work. From here, I’m going to continue posting new stuff and hopefully this page is a good mash up of everything that I do. And since it’s the start of the year, it just seemed like the ideal time to make the change.

Anyway, sorry if there’s any confusion! Feel free to send along any thoughts. And if you haven’t, pop over and check out the Facebook page and like it.
